About Us

The Philosophy Festival in Greece®

is an educational and cultural event dedicated to high school students from 16 to 19 years old. It is designed to meet the need of philosophy as a shared practice and to support traditional school teaching!

It was born in a symbolic place of Western philosophy, ancient Elea, and has become itinerant in 2012 , offering its activities in some of the most enchanting locations of Mediterranean culture: Ascea, Paestum, Metaponto, Matera, Gallipoli, Lecce, Syracuse, Noto. Since 2015, it has also extended to Greece, visiting the cities of Athens, Delphi, Corinth, and Epidaurus.

Our Activities

The various activities offered during our Festivals.

Practical Philosophy Workshops

The workshops are moments where ideas are aimed at developing self-awareness and encouraging active engagement among participants in various artistic disciplines.

Philosophical Dialogues

Together, teachers and students, engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and actively debate with renowned philosophers on the themes proposed during the various editions.

We have created a space where this “beautiful and good” dialogue among participating girls and boys can be experienced, further enlivening our philosophical community. During the FFMG Agón, each school can showcase the creations and works of their students, born from their creativity and talent, and reflecting the values of tolerance and acceptance that embody the spirit of the festival.
